Melissa is a sex educator, social worker and parent coach with over 10 years experience in the field of sexual health. As a proud parent of 3 children ages 4-19, she is passionate about the positive influence parents and caring adults can have on the sexual health of youth. Melissa created Sex-Positive Families in 2017 as a platform to offer pleasure-positive, shame-free education and support for families and professionals to strengthen sexual health talks with the children in their lives. She facilitates workshops, speaks at conferences, creates sex-positive online content, and hosts a podcast to teach the strategies for raising sexually healthy children. Melissa is on a mission to shake the shame and trash the taboos around sex talks in families, and to increase the confidence and competence of parents and caring adults.
