Dr Chen graduated from Brown University in Providence Rhode Island. She attended Duke University School of Medicine in Durham, North Carolina, where she caught her first baby and decided to become an Obstetrician Gynecologist (it was a very cute baby). She then trained in Gynecology and Obstetrics and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland.
She is honored that she has been voted by her peers to be a Top Doctor in the NJ Monthly survey, Castle Connelly, US News and World Report, Inside Jersey Magazine, and NY Magazine for many years, and has also been recognized by Castle Connelly and Inside Jersey Magazine as a Top Doctor in Cancer Care for her work freezing eggs for cancer patients and raising physician and public awareness of OncoFertility and Fertility Preservation.
Dr Chen loves empowering her patients with information and ideas about their health in an interesting, accessible and practical way. She is excited that there are increasing numbers of women in medicine, and hopes to empower women to raise the bar for their own healthcare, including removing the stigma from discussions about reproductive and sexual health. She strongly supports her patients’ right to be informed and involved in their treatment decisions and is an advocate of access to care and healthcare equity.
