Community Manager, Lips
Val Elefante is the Community Manager of Lips: Expressions of Female* Sexuality, a sharing platform and safe space online for women and the lgbtq+ community to freely express themselves without the unfair censorship, trolls, and plagiarism often found on mainstream platforms.
Besides working closely with Lips' Founder Annie Brown, Val has also worked on other projects in the industry such as the Wheel of Foreplay app with Bryony Cole and blogged for ForPlayFilms.com. She is passionate about the infinite possibilities for sextech, is constantly keeping up to date with industry developments, and is excited about all the different directions in which the amazing members of this organization are taking their work.
Val graduated in May of 2019 from Harvard College where she studied Social Studies and Economics and wrote her senior thesis on feminist and queer debates about pornography titled, "Beyond Pleasure and Danger: Autonomy and the Ethics of Pornography." As research for her thesis, Val contributed to writing, directing, and producing two erotic films of her own and is always in search of collaborators for future film projects.
