Wendy Strgar

Founder & CEO, Good Clean Love

Wendy Strgar is an award-winning entrepreneur and the founder and CEO of Good Clean Love, a pioneer in the organic personal care product industry. Wendy started Good Clean Love in 2003 after hearing from many women about, and experiencing for herself, the painful side effects of using petrochemical-based hygiene and intimacy products.

Today, Good Clean Love products are sold internationally and endorsed by physicians nationwide for their safe and nontoxic ingredients. As a woman-owned B corporation, Good Clean Love prides itself on providing the most scientifically-advanced personal care products with patented Bio-MatchTM technology designed by leading scientists. A recent NIH-funded study found Good Clean Love’s line of personal lubricant to be one of the safest products of its class.

Under Wendy’s leadership, Good Clean Love is a champion of sustainable business practices. In 2018, the company launched a carbon offset initiative; its flagship product, Almost Naked personal lubricant, became the first-ever Carbon Neutral intimacy product in the world. Good Clean Love now donates $0.04 for each bottle sold to a project that reduces greenhouse gases by an amount equivalent to that bottle’s carbon footprint. The initiative neutralizes the product’s environmental impact and simultaneously serves as a role model for smaller companies seeking to mitigate their effect on climate change.

Good Clean Love is also one of the only personal care product brands whose products are packaged using bioplastic, a material made from recyclable sugar cane. The leading renewable alternative to petroleum-based plastics, bioplastic is made with sugarcane ethanol and is entirely plant-based. Use of bioplastic aids in lowering carbon dioxide emissions, supporting economic growth in cane-growing nations and diversifying energy sources. Plus, bioplastics are compostable!

In addition to serving as Good Clean Love’s CEO, Wendy is a popular blogger and author of two books. Sex That Works: An Intimate Guide To Awakening Your Erotic Life was published in June 2017 and is the companion to her first popular book, Love that Works: A Guide to Enduring Intimacy. A sexual health educator and loveologist, Wendy is the featured writer at the award-winning blog, Making Love Sustainable. Her writing has been featured on Eco Salon, Care2, The Huffington Post and Elephant Journal, among many others.

Wendy loves to teach and has offered workshops for cancer survivors, at public schools, and universities. Married for over 34 years with four adult children, Wendy’s daily life has always been the laboratory for her loveology work.
